Saint-Gobain Grants Program is an opportunity to make your creative and innovative ideas that provide a fresh perspective to existing systems a reality with the assistance of up to 1 lakh rupees.
To be eligible for the grant, your proposals must be a part of at least one of the 5 pillars championed by the Saint-Gobain Grants Program. This blog will focus on The Pillar of Digital Technology and Innovation. This pillar corresponds to innovative digital ideas/initiatives related to architecture, construction, and design that can change the way we work. We’re giving you access to past proposals under this pillar to help you understand how to submit a successful idea.

The projects executed under this pillar include Software for ‘Climate Optimised Synthesis of Architectural Forms’, Development Of Software For Enhancement Of Acoustics In Green Building, Avalanche 3D Printer, ArIno – Mobile application for information on architecture, Placeover (place+discover)- an application with information about places in town/rural areas.

- Sonaali Bhatla – Placeover (place+discover) – An application with information about places in towns/rural areas with a strong unique character and enabling features to organize visits and home-stays to these places.
- Jayan Prajapati – Avalanche 3D Printer – The present invention relates to a three dimensional prototyping machine used for generating prototypes for specially Architects and Designers. The present invention more particularly relates to a three dimensional prototyping machine based on fused filament fabrication and has advanced features like real time prototyping, dimensional accuracy of prototype and modular design.

Project Details: An application with information about places in towns/rural areas with a strong unique character and enabling features to organize visits and home-stays to these places. The proceeds would go to the local communities hosting these experiences. Not only would this benefit the local communities monetarily but would promote the conservation of the uniqueness (vernacular building techniques, local crafts, skills etc). An application that facilitates booking & browsing authentic local experiences & products – local cuisine & home cooked meals, health & lifestyle products, and local craft or skills-based courses or products. The proceeds would go to the local communities hosting these experiences. In addition to benefiting the community monetarily, the platform also promotes the conservation & documentation of the unique local skills & lifestyle. The platform will serve as a valuable directory for the place. It will provide travellers & tourists access to authentic sustainable rural life practices that they can learn from.
